  • April 4th Make Your Scenes Actually Move

Most actors get stuck playing the same note. This class is about creating real shifts so your scenes feel dynamic and alive.

    You’ll work on:

    • Identifying where scenes stall or feel repetitive
    • Recognizing the moments that should actually turn
    • Responding to what’s happening instead of staying locked in
    • Creating momentum without forcing intensity

You’ll leave with a clearer sense of how to keep your scenes active from beginning to end.

    April 11th Cold Read Confidence

Auditions don’t give you time to overthink — this class trains you to trust your instincts and make strong choices fast.

    You’ll work on:

    • Breaking down material quickly and efficiently
    • Making grounded, specific choices under time pressure
    • Staying present instead of panicking or rushing
    • Adjusting in real time after feedback or redirection

You’ll walk away feeling more prepared, flexible, and confident in any audition room.

    April 18th Stop Overacting!

Trying too hard can kill a moment ... but pulling back too much can make it lifeless. This class helps you find the balance.

    You’ll work on:

    • Recognizing when you’re pushing or forcing performance
    • Letting moments land without adding unnecessary intensity
    • Staying grounded while still being fully engaged
    • Finding truth in simplicity and specificity

You’ll leave with a clearer sense of how to do less while actually saying more.

April 25th Emotional Depth (Without Forcing It)

Emotional work doesn’t come from pushing. It comes from connection. This class helps you access depth without exhausting yourself.

    You’ll work on:

    • Letting emotion arise naturally from the moment
    • Connecting to material without overreaching
    • Building layered emotional life in your work
    • Staying in control while still being fully open

You’ll walk away with tools to create honest, grounded emotional work that feels real — not manufactured.

  • Weekly Drop-In | Saturdays 8:30–10:00 PM EST | Live on Zoom

Each week focuses on a specific, practical topic ... from scene work and cold reads to emotional depth and on-camera subtlety. Topics are announced in advance so you can jump into the sessions that excite you most.

This is not a lecture-based class.
    It’s a working lab.

You’ll be on your feet (or on camera), making adjustments in real time, re-running material, and building the kind of instincts that actually translate to auditions and performance.

    What to expect:

    • Focused, theme-based sessions each week
    • Real-time coaching and immediate re-runs
    • A small group environment with personalized attention
    • Clear, actionable adjustments you can apply right away
    • A space to stay consistent without long-term commitment

Whether you’re brand new or already working, this lab is built to meet you where you are and push you forward.

    Pricing:
    $18 per class
    or
    $65/month (unlimited access)

    Come ready to work.

  • FAQs

Do I need to attend every week?

No. Each class is designed to stand alone. You can join just one or bundle multiple sessions based on your schedule and interest. Attending weekly offers a unique opportunity to build community within Coach Darius' training circle.

    Will I receive recordings?

No. To preserve privacy and create a safe space for artistic risk, these workshops are not recorded. We encourage full presence during the live sessions.

What do I need to bring?

No materials needed. If you have a monologue you want to work on, bring it in! An open mind is a must!

    Can beginners join?

Absolutely. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to deepen your process, these workshops are about meeting you where you are and helping you grow from there.

What kind of work will we be doing?

Each session includes breath and movement, vocal work, unique exercises and activites, opportunity for performance and feedback, and supplemental class materials.

What if I’m nervous or out of practice?

You’re not alone—and you’re welcome. This space is built for risk, reflection, and reconnection. You’ll be supported, not judged.
